Welcome to the PATA Academy
Nearly 300 hundred APTP members and Travel Trade buyers got a taste of the Asia Pacific region at an event held at London's atmospheric Borough Market in September. Designed to provide a forum for networking and the sharing of destination and product knowledge, A Taste of PATA is now in its second year.
This year's event, which was dramatically over subscribed, featured exhibitors including the tourist boards of Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Samoa, Cook Islands, Fiji, Philippines, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, India and China as well as Emirates airlines.
Visitors had the chance to talk to destination experts to gather the latest news and product information and to enjoy hospitality in the form of an Aussie BBQ, food, beers and wines from across Asia Pacific.
Guests were encouraged to gather information from participating exhibitors and complete a questionnaire, with prizes including an accommodation package in Thailand, destination-themed goody bags, restaurant vouchers and cases of wine and beer.
